also...I don't know about your state but most I know have the family/medical leave act which would pay your husband but still allow him to stay home because you are on bedrest. Kind of like unemployment...tell him to ask his boss for paid leave.

Hi, since you are on bedrest you should be eligable for Temporary Disability insurance...that might help pay for daycare so you can rest.

I have 4 children. 8,7 & 1 year old twins and am due in July with our last baby. I dont know where else to go for help so im begging that you dont flag me! My amniotic fluid is dangerously low so ive been put on bedrest. My Dr says if it gets any worse he will put me in the hospital for the rest of my pregnancy. I cant have that happen because my husband has to keep his job and cannot stay home with the kids. We dont have alot of money since we are down to 1 income and 4 kids arent cheap to raise! Im not asking for any handouts at all!! We just need some advice on where to get some help with the kids. My family lives in Nebraska and just went home after trying to help us this last 2 weeks.They dont have anymore paid time and cant afford to go without working. My husbands family lives in Vernonia and threw a big fit when we asked them to just take 1 of the older kids on weekends. They act like you are asking for their life savings anytime someone asks for help! I thought i had friends but once i called everyone just to say im on bedrest and that the baby wasnt doing very well not one person has even called to check on me or the unborn baby! They have all disappeared!! And i didnt even ask them for help! Ive talked with my Drs office social worker and she said there just arent any services for women on bedrest. I talked with a food stamp caseworker because i know sometimes they help with daycare. She said she would gladly help with daycare if i want to get a job!!! When i was first put on bedrest my husband stayed home for 2 weeks untill my parents could get here. We just cant survive without his income!! My husband has been so wonderful taking care of everything once he gets home and all weekend long! Its just during the week when he has to work. We do not belong to any church and we are feeling soo alone right now! We litterally have no one! I dont want to lose this baby im already 6 months into the pregnancy! But i feel like i have no choice but to take care of the kids and get them to appointments etc.. like i did before i went on bedrest and if something happens to the unborn baby then i guess something happens to it. Is that really the only choice i have??? Are there any agencies out there who help women on bedrest? As i said we dont have alot of money. We cant afford daycare for 4 children. We cant afford it for even just the twins. What do you do in this situation??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! We just dont know where to turn!!! Thank you in advance for any advice!!
